The short version: this website does not measure you, the quote form never reaches a server of ours, and nothing about you is sold to anybody.

What is collected

Rhode Island law asks a business to name the categories of personal information its website collects. Here they are, in full. There is no fourth category.

What you type into the quote form
Your name, phone number, email address, the town, and what you tell us about the job. This never reaches a server of ours. The form builds a message and hands it to your own mail program, and you send it.
Ordinary web server records
Our host records the address requested, the time, and the visiting IP address, the same as every web server does. We do not read those records to build a picture of anyone and we do not join them to anything else.
One setting stored on your own device
If you dismiss the notice at the bottom of the page, that single choice is remembered in your browser so the notice stays gone. It holds no identifier, it never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Of those, 2 happen because a website has to be served at all, and 1 happens only if you choose to fill in the quote form and send it from your own email account.

Who else sees it

The same law asks a business to name the third parties it sells personal information to. We sell none, so instead here is the stricter answer: everyone who touches it at all.

Vercel Inc.
Hosts this website and serves the pages. Sees the ordinary server records described above.
The email provider on both ends
Your quote email travels from your mail account to ours, so both providers handle it in transit, the same as any other email you send.

We do not sell your personal information, we have never sold it, and we do not rent, trade or share it for anyone else's advertising. If a job needs another trade, we ask you first before passing your details to them.

What this site does not do

  • No analytics of any kind. No page-view counter, no heatmaps, no session recording.
  • No advertising, no retargeting pixels, no social media trackers, and no embedded videos or maps that would load someone else's code.
  • No fonts, scripts or images from anyone else's server. Everything on this site is served from this site, which is why there is nothing here that could report back.
  • No account, no login, no profile, no newsletter list.
  • Nothing is stored about you that could identify you on your next visit.

The notice at the bottom of the page

It is a statement, not a request. There is nothing to consent to, because nothing is set and nothing is measured. When you dismiss it, that single fact is remembered in your own browser so it stays gone. It holds no identifier, it never leaves your device, and clearing your browsing data removes it.

The quote form

The form at Request a quote runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere while you fill it in, and nothing is stored on this website.

When you press send, the form assembles what you entered into a plain-text email and hands it to your own mail program. The message is then sent by you, from your account, the same as any other email you write. We receive it in an ordinary inbox.

If your mail program does not open, which happens on some phones and on computers with no mail program set up, the page shows you the finished message so you can copy it and send it any way you like. That copy stays in your browser until you leave the page.

What we do with what you send us

We use it to answer you and to price the job. Nothing else. We do not add you to a list, and we do not use your enquiry to advertise to you later.

By sending the form you are asking us to get back to you, so we will reply at the phone number or email address you gave us, about that job. If you would rather we used only one of the two, say so in the message and we will.

How long it is kept

Emails and quotes stay in our records as long as they are useful for the work and for the ordinary business reasons that follow it, such as warranty questions, tax records and insurance. Enquiries that never turn into a job are cleared out once they are plainly stale.

Your choices

Write to us and we will act on it. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. There is no form to fill in and no account to log into. We answer in plain language, and we will not charge you for asking.

Because this site has no tracking, there is nothing here to opt out of. If that ever changes, the notice at the bottom of the page changes with it and this page says so before it goes live.

Children

This site is aimed at people arranging construction work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes to this page

If this site starts doing something that touches your information, for example a contact form that posts to a server or any kind of measurement, this page is updated before that goes live and the date at the top moves with it.

How to reach a person about this

Rhode Island law asks for a working way to contact whoever is responsible. Not a form, not a ticket queue. Ask for Zackery LeBeau, who handles privacy questions for ZD Veterans Construction LLC.

  • TODO B2 Email address. Required by R.I. Gen. Laws 6-48.1-3, so this page is not publishable without it.
